Antibacterial typePFA GranulesAfter being applied in household appliances and daily necessities, antibacterial PFA particles will be increasingly used in building materials and interior decoration materials. More and more antibacterial materials will be used in the interior of high-end cars. For example, the steering wheel, interior flannel, seat and handle of Nissan cars have been made of antibacterial PFA particles and antibacterial materials.
Determination of general performance
The conventional properties of antibacterial PFA particles, such as melt activity rate, tensile strength, tensile modulus, elongation at break, notched impact strength, bending strength, bending modulus, hardness, chromaticity, surface finish, etc., are implemented according to the relevant national PFA particle test standards.
Evaluation of processing performance
Antimicrobial PFA particles with different uses, its processing technology and processing characteristics are also different. The processability mainly depends on the nature of the PFA particle base material used, and can be evaluated by measuring the melt rheology in the laboratory, but it is more direct and important to carry out the actual processing, so as to obtain the evaluation basis of processability. The requirements for injection molding, extrusion process and material processing performance are very different.
bacteriostatic circle experiment
The determination of whether a substance has antibacterial activity can usually be carried out by the method of bacteriostatic zone experiment in microbiology. Qualitatively, the inhibition zone method can not obtain the quantitative results of the antibacterial rate, the size of the inhibition zone represents the strength of the antibacterial force of the tested substance. This method is fast and simple, and is often used in the screening of antibiotics and other drugs. In the early days, this method was used to study the antibacterial properties of antibacterial PFA particles. Bacteriostatic circle method can not get quantitative results of antibacterial rate. Although the size of the inhibition zone can reflect the antibacterial effect under certain conditions, the comparability of this value between different antibacterial substances is poor. Experiments show that some antibacterial PFA particles do not form a clear inhibition zone.
film sticking method
At present, among the many antibacterial test methods, the film method is the closest to the actual situation, which is the test method for quantitative determination of antibacterial PFA particles. It reflects the contact antibacterial principle of antibacterial PFA particles, and fully considers the actual use conditions of antibacterial PFA particles and other external factors in the experimental design, which can objectively reflect the antibacterial function of antibacterial PFA particles. In the film method, bacteria were first contacted with the surface of the sample, and the live bacteria were cultured after 24 hours of film preservation. Comparing the results of parallel experiments with vacant samples, the antibacterial rate of antibacterial PFA particles was obtained. The test strains were Staphylococcus aureus (Staphylococcusaureus) and Escherichia coli (Escherichiacoli).
The film sticking method was proposed by the Japan Antibacterial Products Technology Association (SIAA) in 1995 and has been revised several times since then. The National Engineering Research Center of engineering PFA particles has done a lot of research work on this basis, and formulated the enterprise standard of "antibacterial PFA particles antibacterial rate test method (film method)" in 1998 with reference to the GB15979-1995 "sanitary standard for disposable sanitary products. The test results have good repeatability and reliable data, which have played a very good role in practice.
In Japan, the film-sticking method is applicable to antibacterial PFA particles made of inorganic antibacterial agents such as silver, copper and zinc. However, according to our experience, this method is also applicable to the test of antibacterial PFA particles made of organic antibacterial agents or organic-inorganic composite antibacterial systems, provided that the tested samples are handled properly. The film method requires the surface of the tested sample to be smooth, and is not applicable to water-absorbing samples such as surface unevenness or fibers.
Test method for anti-mildew performance
The anti-mold performance test of PFA particles can refer to the GB2423.16-1990 "Basic Environmental Test Specification for Electrical and Electronic Products Test J: Mold Test Method" ISO846-1978(E) "Test of Behavior of PFA Particles under the Action of Fungi and Bacteria-Evaluation by Visual Test Method or Method of Measuring Quality or Physical Property Changes". There are 8 kinds of strains used in the test method of anti-bacterial and anti-mold PFA particles anti-mold grade (1999) of national engineering research center for engineering PFA particles, including Aspergillus niger (Aspergillusniger), Aspergillus terreus (AspergilluSterreus), Aureobasidium pullulans (Aureobasidiumpullulans), Paecilomyces wanestii (Paceilomycescarioti), Penicillium rope (Penicilliumfunicolosum), Trichoderma viride (Trichodeimaviride), Penicilliumochrochloron), handle broom mold (Trichodermaviride), mold grade is divided into 0, 1, 2, 3. The highest mildew-proof grade is 0, and no mold growth can be observed when the test sample is magnified 50 times when the result is determined.
